The polar bear baking/cooking contest is still going on but on 20th of October when that contest ends, the polar bear solution contest will begin! The polar bear solution contest is where you make a list of ways to protect polar bears from extinction.

Here are some things that affect polar bears that you may think of solutions for:

* Climate change- More heat melts the ice.

* Oil drilling- Drilling in icebergs kills polar bears habitat.

* Pollution- Water pollution lets Co2 into the ocean and kills the animals.

* Deforestation (surprisingly)- Planting trees takes in Carbon dioxide which slows down climate
change.


Here are some solution examples:

* Reduce, reuse, recycle.

* Plant a tree.

* Turn off lights when you leave the room.

* Walk or bike instead of using a car.

REMEMBER: Don't send your entries in before the 20th of October or after the 1st of November or your entries will not be counted. GOOD LUCK!!
