Polar bear poster contest!
Create a poster about how and why to save the polar bears.

- Pictures ( drawings or photos)
- Facts
- Ways to reduce Co2

Entering this contest shows that you care about the polar bears and want to help them. Please do everything you can to help them. The polar bears are having to say goodbye to their families and carry on their life alone, scared, and sad. We cant let this happen to them. They are dying.

The polar bear baking contest will be coming soon! Please do not send entries in before the 1st of October or after the 20th of October. Any early entries or late entries will not be counted.
The winner will get a photo of their baking on the hall of fame.

There will be a new contest called the POLAR BEAR SOLUTION contest will start on the 20th of October 2013. The polar bear solution contest is where you make up a list of all the solutions to protect polar bears from extinction.
Threats to polar bears that you come up with solutions for:
* Climate change- the heat melts the ice.
* Oil drilling- drilling in icebergs kills the polar bears habitat.
* Pollution- water pollution lets Co2 into the ocean and kills the animals.
* Deforestation- Planting trees take in carbon dioxide and slows down climate change.
Here are some solution examples:
*plant a tree.
* reduce, reuse, recycle.
* turn off lights when you leave the room.
* walk or bike instead of driving.
REMEMBER: Any entries that come before the 20th of October or after the 1st of November will not be counted. send your entry to this email- kayleighfraser123@gmail.co.nz
